8th Eastern Region, Division 11 -  Serving Middle Tennessee

On the Water Training

The dates for this year's division wide on the water (OTW) crew training will be November 10.  We will need some help!

TRAINEES:  If you have completed all of your dockside tasks, you can take part as as a trainee.  (You do not have to have completed the PFD swim.  That will be offered at a later date.  You also do not have to have had your dockside QE.)  Please hold these dates.  We may be able to complete the tasks in only one OTW session but hold them both anyway, just in case.  As we get closer to the date, we will ask you to let us know if you will be taking part.

COXSWAINS:  If you are a coxswain and can help us out on either or both of these dates, please let us know.  We need you!  If you have a facility you can bring, that would be great but, if you do not have one, we need you anyway.

CREW MEMBERS:  If you are crew certified and can help us out on either or both of these dates, please let us know.  We will need one or two crew members on each facility.

FACILITY OWNERS:  If you own an operational facility and can make it available on either or both of these date, please let us know.  The more boats we can put on the water the better.

WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF CURRENCY FOR ALL OF OUR CREW AND COXSWAINS.  We hope to have some QEs there and should even be able to
take care of five year currency for those who need it.

If you can help us out in any way with this, please contact:  Bill Thompson  SO-MT

TCT  (Team Coordination Training)

Division 11 will be sponsoring a TCT session December 1,  2007. Location to be announced.  Anyone involved in OPS must have the training  in order to patrol or work in Operations. If you have had it within five years and you are not a QE, you do not have to take it again at this time.

Please come prepared to take notes and bring paper and pen. If you have any questions, please E-mail :    Jennie McNeil  SO-OP
